Seema Muralidhara TV Director-Science Communicator I am a professional film maker based in Mumbai. My Production House, Beacon Television specializes in Infotainment. Awarded the National Award for Science Popularisation (NCSTC) for the year 2006, I believe that television can and must play an important role in creating a more rational and scientific mindset. My areas of interest are Popular Science, Environment, Wildlife, Education, Health & S&T. My TV Programmes have won several eminent awards like the Bronze Tree at Vatavaran, Golden Beaver, Silver Beaver and Special Jury Awards at National and International Science Film Festivals. Very dear to me is the advocacy work that I have been involved with for the issues of Snakebite, Cancer and Play-way education. I started out as a print journalist with the Times of India, New Delhi and then switched to TV after being trained at the FTII, Pune.
